How to configure your new mobile phone

Do you use your mobile phone or tablet for work or study? Did you know that if you get a new device you need to set it up to securely access University systems and resources?

A new checklist for setting up your device securely

A simple checklist is now available setting out six steps to take for ensuring your personal mobile phone or tablet is suitable for accessing University email, multi-factor authentication (MFA) and other resources.

This complete set of guidance includes links to instructions for making sure that your phone is supported and secure, connected to Wi-Fi and email, and can be used for MFA with Oxford single sign-on (SSO).

If you’ve already completed some of the steps, that’s great, you won’t need to re-do anything. But we recommend that you check the list now to make sure you haven’t missed anything.
