WebLearn: Final changes before closure

Updated: Please note this article was updated on 11 October to include further information about the Avoiding Plagiarism and Research Integrity courses

The final stages of the ongoing decommissioning of WebLearn mean that you will no longer be able to upload documents from the end of September 2022 and the service will no longer be available for general use.

WebLearn has been replaced by Canvas which should be suitable for most teaching and learning activities. You will find other suggested alternatives on the WebLearn Overview page.

Access only via VPN

In addition, from 3 October 2022, WebLearn will only be accessible from within the University network.

Anybody attempting to access WebLearn from a non-Oxford University IP address will see a 'guidance page' containing links to download the University's Virtual Private Network (VPN) client. WebLearn can be accessed just as normal when one is connected to the University network via VPN.

OXAM (Exam Archiving)

Oxford Examination Papers Online (Oxam) archive is remaining on WebLearn until summer 2023 while a replacement service is being setup.

Online courses

The Avoiding Plagiarism and Researcher Skills courses have been moved from WebLearn to CoSy and links to these are now available.
