Shreya Manna is a graduate of BA English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford (2022).
She participated in the Centre for Teaching and Learning's Student Experience Internship Scheme during the summer 2022, working on a project to gather information on students’ access to services which support the development of their academic literacies across the collegiate University.
Shreya is committed to researching inclusive teaching practises in higher education, the study of English literature and mental health awareness.
As a student preparing to enter masters and doctoral level study, Shreya aims to specialise in modern and contemporary poetry, exploring to what extent it can deliver hope in times of environmental and psychological crisis. Brought up in six countries around the world, Shreya also has a passion for learning about cross-cultural experiences.
What excites me most about this internship is the opportunity to work with people across diverse backgrounds: students, staff, disciplines, countries, cultures. It truly is a team effort to engineer an inclusive learning environment – one that is befitting of a world-class institution. The CTL management’s consistent initiative to involve graduating students in developing teaching practises is truly inspiring. The intern team is equally talented and committed to the cause. Delighted to be part of it!
