Rachel studied for a BSc degree at LSE and a MPhil degree at Oxford, both in International Relations. Her research interests in the area include the international relations of East Asia, international norms and international security. During her study at Oxford, Rachel was involved in the Oxford Diplomatic Society as a thematic event officer.
Rachel finds the 2023 internship project on investigating student’s digital needs fascinating because it involves contributing to improving students’ learning experience in a digital world. She is excited about collaborating with other interns and the staff team in delivering this goal. She looks forward to getting more hands-on experience with different qualitative research methods as well as practicing quantitative skills.
Having grown up in both the mainland China and Hong Kong, Rachel has enjoyed living in the UK in the past few years. She particularly likes the easily accessible green spaces in this country, where she can take strolls. In her free time, Rachel also enjoys reading a book in a coffee shop, catching up with friends and volunteering at her local church among undergraduates and children.
