Yining (Evelyn) Tang

Evelyn is currently studying for an MSc in Education (Digital and Social Change) at St Anthony’s College. She has completed three undergraduate degrees – English, Sociology, and Media & Digital Cultures – in Shanghai and Australia, as well as a Masters in Comparative Education and International Development from Edinburgh.

These academic journeys gradually led her to discover her passion for edtech, particularly a critical examination of educational technology. She is currently working on her dissertation – a research project on the opportunities and challenges of data-driven technologies in the implementation of the Double Reduction Policy in China. Through the 2023 internship project investigating students’ digital needs, Evelyn wishes to apply what she learns to the real world, bringing diverse grassroots voices into the foundation of improving teaching and learning through digital transformation.

Having travelled to Europe eight times, Evelyn is always looking to explore the world and capture life's moments with her cameras.
